Examples of customer screw-ups
- Blown ECU
- Blown Keyless Entry Unit
- Fried Coils
- Bare live wires
Never mind the rats nest of wires they leave behind for a nice fire to happen.
This is what happened to my Viper alarm/starter. Blew my SCU (Smart Control Unit) and rats nest of wires was an understatement. It was "professionally" installed. I am seeking a claim for reimbursement now. Nissan had to remove the aftermarket components and rewire my factory alarm. With the SCU shorted out, my engine was getting no signal from the ignition = it would not start/run.
