Has anybody else tried this? Since I got an ARB bumper, my stock bumper sits unused in a storeroom. I decided to make use of the OEM fog lights by installing them up next to the frame, just forward of the front body mount, to use them as side-facing rock lights. I just made some brackets and bolted them into place (still have to wire them and install a relay and switch). As soon as I can get temporary juice to them I'll check light dispersion patterns and see if they are worth the effort to do a permanent install. I figure they're pretty safe tucked up between my sliders and the frame. I can post some pics if anybody is interested. Comments/suggestions welcomed.

They should be safe there, I have had a set there for well over a two years now. Just make sure to silicone them.

I took em apart and put a big neoprene gasket under the mounting flange so no water can get in through the back of the outer cover. But I noticed there are holes in the lamp/lens housing itself - since the lights are on about the same level as they were in the bumper, should I worry about this? Also, how did you mount yours (I did mine vertically - I think I might change them after I see what kind of light they produce)
