The only way to be sure would be to measure the current draw of the bulbs. The claims of power made by PIAA are total bullshit from an electrical point of view. Their claims are actually better than pertepual motion.

FWIW, every time I hear of someone melting a housing or a harness they were using PIAA bulbs.
