I just bought my speakers on-line, and I'm just waiting for them to come in. For the front, I got Rockford Fosgate 6 3/4" with the separate 3/4" tweeters(FNP 2614). For the back, I got Rockford Fosgate 6x9's(FNP 4269). I'm trying to stay with the stock look, and I've checked out everything on here...you know how it is, mixed advice from all posts. laugh

Crutchfield said they were a fit, but Best Buy said they weren't...you can never get anyone to agree. Oh well, we'll see...next is the power, and I'm going to install all the speakers before I head out for that one.

If you got any info, pass it on. I'm just crossing my fingers. Should be an easy install. Advice is welcome...especially since I know I'm going to go one amp, maybe 2, and a box of 12" subs (and I don't listen to rap crap :p )

If your not listening to rap or hip hop or entering competitions save your money and get 10" subs. Save money and space. As for amps go with JL those are IMHO the best for the money.

I agree with everything Bonecrusher said. 10's are much tighter than 12s. Go with JL for the subs and go with Fosgate for the amp. Don't go with Fosgate Subs, they have nothing on JL!

I have a 12 JL W3, and i should have gotten a 10. 12s are more booming, where as 10s are tight and clean. you will save money and space on the subs and save a little more money on the amp, cause you dont need as much to drive them.

I had Rockford Fosgate's FNQ3614 components in for less than a year and already blew out one of the mids. It was an easy install as far as I know. I didn't install them myself. They sounded good too. I'm replacing them with Polk Audio Momo MM6's on friday along with an Infinity Basslink.

I have the same install as you're describing. The component set fits, but in a 2002 or 03 you'll have to come up with brackets for the doors, as the stock speakers are built into their own brackets. I cut up my stocks to make the bracket. You'll also have fun wiring the tweeter if you have the A-pillar tweeters and use the RF component crossover. The 6x9's fit and work fine. I used a RF 10" sub and a RF amp to drive it. It's sweet. PM me if you have any specific questions.

My 2 centavos

Kenwood Head Unit
Boston Accustic COmponent speakers
JL sub 2 10's
JL amps one 4 channel and 2 monos
Thats my setup.
I can listen to anything and it ALWAYS sounds good. From acid jazz, techno, rap, hip hop, alternative, and old school rock. I even did some classical and it sounded amazing.

Anyway its not a hell of alot of space since i have my 2 mono amps wired under my seats and the 4 channel wired in the back on my sub box. Its a good setup and allows for full use of the cargo area

Nice setup! When it comes to cabin speakers, I swear by MB Quart, Polk, and Boston Acoustic. They are all great speakers, but somewhat pricey. I love fosgate amps, but am not high on their speakers...especially their subs.
