mtbcyclist - how did you get the netting out of the way - did you cut it out or is there a way to remove without destroying?

Also - any specific tips on how to pull the rear panel out? I have the service manual but it is not very helpful.

BTW - I am chickening out on the fiberglass for now. I am trying to do an MDF box but not sure how its going to turn out.
