Its going to work. XM is already out. Sirus radio will be out later in the year. XM is 9.95 a month and requires you buy at least a $150 tuner to recieve the service. This is true even if you buy a new pioneer or alpine that are "XM ready". Right now its available in D.C and maybe Nashvill area( not sure). SHould be spreading by the end of the year,
