Has anyone ever seen a true DIN sized CB radio that installs like a single height aftermarket stereo? I've had a few different CB's that I've installed in the extra pocket below the radio but would LOVE to find one that actually mounted like a radio.

Midland makes a couple.

I emailed cobra about such CB's a couple years back and they actually claimed there wasn't any demand for such a unit (!!!)

Unidens Australian website lists a number of their overseas 5 watt radios w/ optional DIN mounting kits and face plates...

Are those Australian radios on the same frequency as the ones in the US?

Bad news, Uniden no longer offer 27Mhz CB radios.
Good news, the frequencies are the same, I guessed as much.
GME appears to have a DIN szed 27mHz CB. GME DIN CB

How about Cobra 18 WX ST II ? I'm not sure what the exact size is, but it might work w/ some modifications?

The Cobra model above fits under an aftermarket HU. It is a little smaller than a HU and you will need to make a trim peice for the extra space.
