I know a few of you have after market lights on the X and all those different switches came be a pain in the ass, so here is what I did.

The left is for the Piaa 1500's, middle for the IPF driving, and the right IPF fog. The middle switch is different so I can identify by feel in the dark.
BTW, those are little shards of plastic from the cutting you see not scratches

Pretty sharp install. Was it difficult getting underneath the paneling by the shifter? Thanks for sharing. I haven't decided where to install mine, but I need to actually go and get lights first, so...

anyway, good job.

Not really, just unbolt both the shifter area and the center console(cup holder and arm rest area). The area where the new switches went is empty and easy to run wires to. If you're interested I have a how to section on my web site in the "mods" section.

For those with a manual transmission this install seemed to work for me. The switches control (from driver to passenger) front fog lights (bumper), center range light (roof), and outside range lights (roof).

XXXTERRA,
Nice install on the SILVER Xterra. The slammed Xterra that you claimed was yours is butt A$$ coyote ugly.

I used a VERY sharp hobby knife for a similar install on my Mazda. The worse thing is the next day I found a push button switch that sticks to the dash like a hiend IPF or PIAA. Still have that switch (and lights) waiting for car to be installed on.

I used a small drill bit for a guide hole, then a cutting bit on my Dremel.

I started using an old-fashioned floor dimmer switch to turn on my aux. lights. It's much faster to get to when a car comes over a hill.
