Thanks for the idea! I want to keep my X as stock looking as possible (inside at least) but that's definitely something worth looking into. I'll go check out that thread again. As far as the GPS system goes, you're right. You need a system specifically meant for a computer. Generally speaking these systems come with some type of PC map software and match that up with the coordinates given from the GPS unit. Check out this product as an example and for more info. It's pretty darned handy!

Xterrain, thanks for the source code offer but I'm not very well versed in VB so I'd better leave the coding to you. Can't wait to check it out! You're setup sounds really neat. Any chance you have pictures of it? I'd love to see it! I'm still trying to get my head around how you managed to fit a 12" monster in your X. I was wondering about hard drive life in a car but it looks like you've answered that before I was able to ask.
