I am getting ready to drop some $$ into a new stereo and speakers. Ok, I know about crutchfield.com and probably will buy from them. They have been easy to deal with in the past.
What other online retailers have you had good experiences with?
Any horror stories or ones to avoid?

i have ordered all my stuff from online, from a few different companies. I also payed approximately 30-40% cheaper than Crutchfield. But Crutchfield is prob the most reliable company, and it also gives u plenty of service and extras. But for me, I really didnt want the services that they offer, so i went to other companies. But u will def be safe with Crutchfield. By the way, what did u get?

Crutchfield has amazing customer service. And they are authorized retailers of all the products they sell. I ordered the stereo for my Saturn from there, and everything went great.
But, for my Xterra, I went for Etronics.com. Much cheaper and they ship from NYC so I got everything the next day.
The problem came 4 months later, when one of my Rockford Fosgate amps decided to make this horrible whine (It's the amp, trust me). And it seems that Rockford doesn't honor the warranty. But I calculated it out, and replacing the amp from Etronics still saved me money over Crutchfield.
Though on the Etronics.com website they claim they're authorized retailers of everything they sell, but Rockford says no.
[EDIT]Suprisingly, today I called Rockford, and they looked up the serial number and claim they will fix it under warranty. Strange how the Rockford website claims they won't.[/EDIT] ..jorge

I'd check out sounddomain.com, thezeb.com and onlinecarstereo.com. I've had good luck with Ebay, too, but that's always risky.
Crutchfield's good for the wiring harness, install kit and instructions. I've never had to use their tech support, but I'm sure it's good.
