Right on!! I can't wait to see that thing. Lemme know if you want help wrenching or putting on the windshield, seats, etc. Another solid axle bastard.

Swine. I want one too! Nice one. I nearly invested in a $100 wreck of a Scout a few weeks ago but decided against it.

I'll get me one in the next couple of years, then rip it apart to fix all the rust in the rear quarter panels etc. And replace the rusted out floor. I figure that is my opportunity to learn how to weld! Where are the pics? This is the POS 1975 one I was looking at for $100. But figured it needed way to much work to make it road worthy. Guy down in AZ City was selling it on Craigs List.

I just noticed, "5.88's"? Damn! I honestly don't even know yet what mine has. I only know after replacing my speedo cable my max speed is 55 - and that's not fun. It feels like 155! Here's the current look: Fine Automobile Here's the parking brake (4x4) and a couple leaks: Oops! Sounds like yours is pretty well equiped, but at least we can trade spare parts if we need. (cough cough axles, hate my D27's, cough cough!) (edit: Where are the pics?! You can work later. )

I was gonna pull the 'This thread is useless' deal. But I figure Dan is probably out wheeling his new toy, so he'll have pics when he gets back!!!

OE Powerplant Dashboard Goodies OE Manual Hubs All up in my grill Blue just happens to be one of my favorite colors I can't drive it around at he moment, one tire's down and the gas tank at the moment is a gatorade bottle under the driversseat After a few minor purchases (fuel cell) and maybe 40-50 hours of wrenching, it'll be muy trail ready. I still can't believe it's not butter!

The tanks are out, I have them though. I believe I'll be going with a fuel cell however and eventually a swing away tire or even roof mount for the spare.

Well, its no Xterra but... I'd say its ugly, but I think I just can't get past those skinny little tires. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Sounds like it will be a pretty sweet machine. Congrats! Glad to hear you aren't getting rid of the X. We'd hate to lose you!

Oh, IH buds! I've got 2 IH's currently... My 1970 Travelall: It's mostly a utility vehicle, 392 3/4Ton 4wd work horse. My '78 scout: ^^ that bumper was my welding project for my welding class in college :p and how it sits now: The plan is to cut off the rear frame and build a roll cage/frame and make it a rock crawler

That's a weird looking Xterra. That must be the infamous 1999 Exterra. Good score Dan!! I want to see some flexy pix. What size tires are on it (or will be on it)?

Yeah, the spotlight works well there I thought the truck was a bit steadfast as I tried to roll it myself, even for having one semiflat tire. I got in and moved the twin sticks, out of low, then I unlocked the hubs out on the wheels. It rolled a little quicker. Staying true to the original format, NO, there's no A/C either. :p
