I think my power steering is going out... I can't turn the wheels if I'm not moving?! What's that going to cost me? Every time I get close to my gear reduction, something else goes wrong! I'm starting to get a bit frustrated mad

Have you checked the fluids and stuff before you get frustrated?

Also did you change Tires or Wheels lately?

Fluid is fine. I had the system flushed about 6 months ago. I put new belts on a few weeks ago and they are tight and not slipping. The pump turns freely with the belt off. Tires have been on for about 6 months as well.

How do I know if it's a pump problem or a steering box problem? It has to be one of those two I would guess...

Any other ideas.

Thanks,
Shawn

When you try to turn the wheel does the pump lock up or turn fine?

I'm having a similar issue with mine now as well. First time replaced the pump and now it's intermittent. Sometimes works fine, sometimes I can only turn when moving.

Power steering pump issue on mine.
