That's not true, though. Calmini and AC's will work with an aftermarket steering such as this. I can't confirm/deny SLR's, though, as I haven't seen one of those in person.
But there's no difference at the connection of the idler arm to the frame with this setup, so there's no good reason it wouldn't.
