The original sliders were notched and angled opposite each other whereas the new style is a straight through type of bracket.
Robert, regarding the skids, they are the same ones in all of the pictures, it is simply the shadows changing the look as you predicted. They have a slightly different angle on the edges than the previous year X so it appears as though they are not quite as long.
The Hi-Lift and Jerry Can mount would easily be something we can add to this setup and possibly even the earlier year models as well. We are here to build the parts that you want. If you want it, tell us.
Regarding the height, 5" is it. Any more lift and you are looking at some heavy modification. We are entertaining the idea of a body lift. It will largely be based on whether we see enough interest. Keep them coming...
