I think the cost I was talking about included the things needed to add in addition to the kit itself to make it all work...for a SAS....For the first Gen X....not the IFS 2nd Gen X.

IE: A SAS kit itself is one price...but you then have to find and buy a used D44, fix it up so you can trust it, match the gearing to what you need, including the rear gearing....etc.

As far as I know, nothing has changed in that regard.

Just to confuse the issue, I posted some of that in a thread discussing the 2nd Gen X 5" SL...which is probably the confusion now on price discussion, as both were in the same thread.
