Hey guys, I just picked up my Shrockworks bumper today and it loosk sick! Everyhting seemed to be in order and fairly easy to install but I am having the worst time ever trying to get the damn thing to line up. It is either too high too low or too far out. Right now it's on there but it's a little low. Anybody have trouble trying to line it up correctly? It seems also that where it bolts onto the frame horns (same goes with the skid plate) are too close in by hair. Makes it uber hard to move percise amounts without over shooting how far you want to move the damn thing. Guys the damn thing weighs 202 lbs. Get more than two or three people to help you out with this thing. WTF.

Mine was easy. Line it up on one side, fairly tight, then line up the other and bolt 'er down. Two people do make the job much easier.

well I did the install with very limited tools (ie. not a very good jack). When I get home I'll show you how off it is. I have a 3" Body Lift and Jim made it for the 2". It shouldn't be as off as it looks. So expect a pic update some time tonight.

Yeah - its made to fit snugly over the rails...and with only one person...it would be really hard to hold it so that both sides were level...I had help luckily.

A jack is best for adjusting. without a jack and with only one person, it would be very difficult to do. BTW, 202 lbs is shipping weight with the huge crate. The bumper is only about 115lbs, but still a big handful for one person. I can do it by myself with a floor jack, but that is definitely not recommended!

Put the jack here:

Get one side at the right height with the jack, tighten the bolts on the SIDE ONLY (not the one on the end) just enough to keep it from slipping down. Line up other side with the jack, tighten side bolts snug. You will now likely have to go back and tweak the side you did first a little bit one last time.

Tighten the two bolts on both sides fully.

Tighten the bolts on the ends fully. Dont do the ones on the ends until the sides are tight.

That's it. If you still have problems, call me. 877-474-7625

ok here is the thing. I used a jack to do that....but it is soo snug that it lifts the whole damn truck up! haha....so me and one of my buddies man handled it enough to get in there but its liek you know when something is really heavy and you only want to move it a short distance...and you have to use a lot of force to move it and you end up moving it way way way too far? its like that. we get it to within a 1/4" where it has to be and we try to move it that little bit...and now its totally off! i am going to get another buddy to help me after work today to put it line it up more...its on but it can be pushed up like maybe 1/2" more. and i was wondering how come you sent me two drill bits? can i use those to drill the frame horns and move the bumper up even more to match better for my 3" body lift?
