I was thinking a Turbo for an Xterra Might actually be good. Using the Double Sequential turbo or what have you, would virtually eleminate Turbo Lag, and a 10psi MAX on a stock motor would be plenty of power.

A TDO5H on my honda spools about 3.5K and your talking roughly 12-15psi. now if i remember correctly those double sequentail turbos would put you at full boost around 1-2K. and the way those turbos work is that they basically have two impellars(SP) one for low RPM range that keeps you spooled at idle safely, and then opens up the second impellars(SP) at high RPM. None the less reaching peak Boost Around 2-3K. Now 7psi would rock you in the Xterra, and would definatly give more HP than a supercharged motor.

To each his own, but Turbo technology has come a long way, matter of fact I think it is Bully Dog that puts those double sequential turbos on their stage 5 kit. Bully Dog isnt the only one using them.

If I had the time/money/Extra Xterra I would say testing a HomeMade turbo kit isnt a bad option. See what is better. Smaller VS Bigger, Single vs Dual, REgular VS, Double. It would be great to see.

The comment about 5psi hit the gas and be at 20psi is irelavent, put a boost controler on it and leave it at say 5psi. I would say a turbo is not very effeciant for rock climbing though. But Hands down has the best tourque advantage.

I doubt Jim Wolf Would Help us out in the range of the might 4x4ers, But I think he would open himself to more buisness if he helped the 4x4 crowd.
