i got a supercharger hella cheap....it wasnt til later i found out i would have 2 spend about 6 or 7 g's i replace parts (ecu, body rewiring etc.) that would allow the charge to be compatible with a 2001 3.3l v6 xe....i decided the cheapest route to keeping my 2001 body style and a superchrager would be to find a wrecked already charged xterra, pull the engine and swap....i need input because this is what ive wanted for a very long time

I'd just say screw it, and trade the '01 in on a '02+ SC model.

Otherwise, you will lose so much $ doing a swap its not even funny.

And, if you are in an accident and total it, the check won't even cover the cost of the mod, let alone the cost of your truck.

On the other hand...if you HAVE all that $ laying around burning a hole in your pocket...and you want to end up with a supercharged '01, you'd need to do a BL and a few other mods to make room for the taller profile ('02 hood lines are about 1.75" taller than the '01's, etc...)....harnesses, plumbing, ecu, etc.

It might be cheaper to take the new '02, and mount the front clip off the '01 onto it, using a Shrock front bumper (etc) to eliminate the lower facia matching nightmares, etc...and allow the lower '01 components to run more smoothly into the taller '02 lines, etc.

I'd keep posting this until the price of the swap magically disappears because you might find someome with a different answer.

I have a solution...wait for someone with a SC '02 who has already mounted the front clip of an '01 onto it.
