Yeah, you'll get more flex.
Until you warp your leaf springs into a "W" shape. At which point, they'll break.
Your stock leaf springs were not designed to flex that far.

Well i'm completing the PML to a full 3" this winter with UCA's and a 3leaf pack. You think I can go that long or not?

Um, the rear bumpstops prevent uptravel, ....not droop, so the shocks and brake lines, breather tubes, etc...don't need to be longer...if anything shorter maybe, but NOT longer. Now, when you get the 3" SL on, you MIGHT have more downtravel...and need longer lines, etc...but that has nothing to do the with bumpstops. (Front stops can limit upper or lower movement, but the rear stops just go between the axle and the frame...and only stop the axle coming up) You have to be careful not to reverse arch your leaf pack too far...if the leaves are bent up by excessive uptravel...they can be stressed and that can lead to breakage. When I did compression measurements, my leaves were flat with about 4" of space at the rear stop...so they would allow me a slight reverse arch, with that remaining 4" of space...if I got rid of them, it would be able to reverse arch even worse.... If you feel like it, as you're getting fat tires, knock the tabs on the rear stops upwards, so that they are not close to the inboard sidewalls...but leave the factory stops as they are position wise.... ...And call it a day.

Haha, I know the bumpstops stop upward travel, but I thought the stoppage of upward travel due to the bumpstops would prevent drooping of opposite side....correct?

Maybe not 11 pages, but I'll bet that we get to hear from people who know everything about the dynamics and tensil strength of leaf packs.

If you droop one side all the way...is the other end ON the bumpstop? I've seen the stuffed side TIRE hit the frame rail, hindering further droop in some cases....but I haven't seen the stuffed stop hinder it. My leaf pack is stiff though, so maybe a flexier pack would be different...but, when I did stuff tests, under normal articulation, the stop had maybe 4" of travel left...under "landing" conditions, it can come closer, but, I have not measured that. The way I always test variables like that out, is to remove the part in question, and see what difference it makes. So, for example on the the shocks, I checked the droop with them on, then took the shock's off the lower mount, and drooped again...to see how far it went with NO shock holding it back, etc... You could try that with the stops...do a stuff/droop, measure the travel, check the BS clearance...if it's touching, take it off, and do it again...if there's more travel...it was limiting, etc. If its not touching...well, its not limiting...etc.

When I had 32s on with the Calmini lift, I ripped the fuel line cover off in the right rear fender. After that I installed the bumpstop extensions for the rear. I didn't like the idea that I could rip the fuel hose off with the tire.
Now that the body lift was been on, I am thinking of removing the extensions.

I think he used the "winkie" to show it wasn't really a jab...more of a a playful chuck on the shoulder... ...just a reference to the video in the revolver thread that showed the revolver giving traction longer, long after it opened...and maintaining traction longer than the regular lift shackle did.

That thread is like virus that just won't die. For the love of all that is holy, drop it.
