ok time to upgrade my shocks. tell me what you think.... i have a 2" pml and im thinking about getting some procomp es9000's front and rear, the front will be the stock size (not much you can do with that on a pml right?) but the backs are going to be the EXP-926505 which extend to 27.070" and collapse to 15.940" the stock ones extend to 24.00" and collapse to 14.875" do you think they extend to far? i mean its 11.13" of travel as opposed to 9.125" stock (yea im getting pretty technical and probably over thinking) my concern is of bottoming out on the shock much quicker. should i go with it and buy these? also how do i find out the valving? the application listed on summit racings site says they are a chevy 2500 pickup so my second worry is that they will be valved more towards carrying a load

It should work if the valving is right.

On the IFS...even the stock shocks are long enough for a lifted truck....so correct...even a 3" uses the same length FRONT shocks.

For the rear...16" compressed should be OK...and the 27 extended will be fine for stock springs with longer shackles...even 26" is enough for most people there.

If the site lists the valving...or you can call them and ask, etc....it would help.

Ball park, for a X with typical skids/sliders and a fat driver...etc...something like 255/70 - 275/80 valving is great....see how close the shocks you are considering come to that range. (The higher numbers are firmer, give tighter control/ride harder...the lower numbers are less firm, are more wishy washy, and ride softer...)
