gauging from how you're already having trouble with the clutch, i'd suggest you don't do that and just grease up the pedal to get the squeaking to go away.
always press the clutch all the way in. you're not in a drag racing funny car, be nice and easy with it and sooner or later you'll be caressing it like it was your sunday office sex buddy.
I baby my clutch, always press it in all the way. Just don't think I should be ptting body weight on it to get it to the floor. I have noticed that when I get near the floor I can feel what feels like springs or something that don't want to go farther. Then i got an inch after that to the floor. I am going to grease it up and check for loose bolts etc. as soon as the rain stops here. Also gonna bleed the clutch fluid out and change my traney fluid before I have it checked out. If it still giving me any problems I am going to have it looked at.
