I recently bought Bilstein shocks from ebay,

Front : B46-1099-H0 (20% stiffer?)
Rear : BE3-6422-H0

My car is regular 4x2 2001 with no modification. Is it going to be problem installing 20% stiffer shock?

Thank you.

From what I have read, your ride will be very bouncy. Those stiffer shocks are made to accomodate the extra weight from modifications such as a winch/tire carrier bumper. So, I suppose if you dont mind a very rough/bouncy ride, they will be fine.

Is it going to be bouncy or stiff? Thanks.

By the way, i got all for 110 bucks plus shippng. I would have gotten those for 80 buchs...kind of make a mistake. They are all new.

Because they are stiffer by 20%, you will of course feel the difference in ride quality which in time you will get used to. But, not only did you get a good deal on the shocks, you should feel confident that your Bilsteins will last you longer.

Thank you. I am going to put those at work shop. They charge me 100 bucks for that.

Why? rear shocks need a socket set, the fronts need a socket set, a pair of vice grips, and a cresant wrench( open ended wrenches work also)
Goofing off, it takes less then an hour..

Well it is done now ..paid 100 bucks to install. The ride is much better than before and really noticeable for couple of days. I like 20% stiffer shocks for fronts. It was all good until I drove my frined 97 old Honda Odyssey. Now I am not even sure i have bilstein shocks installed. That stupid mini van spoiled me. The van was solid stable. Xterra is much more bouncier than the van even after bilstein was hooked up. I coudl still feel the diffrence before and after the new shocks, it just not much anymore.
