My driveway is steep. When I have to stop on it to avoid running through the garage door instead of under it, then my X rolls back a bit when I lift off the brake and move to the gas. Two ways to avoid this:

Don't stop on hills or;
Use your left foot to hold the brake and your right foot to press the gas. Roll on/off of the pedals just like a manual.

Whatever you do, don't use the gas pedal to hold yourself still while facing up an incline. That's what brakes are for. This puts undue stress on the tranny. Every owner's manual I have ever read stressed this practice.
