I've also heard that aftermarket shocks like the bilsteins help eliminate the suspension hop. If thats true, it sounds to me like a good investment even if they are $400.

I'm not rebuilding it just yet. I just bought a used one from Brent. I put it in today. More of a pain to get the new one in. It's much easier with two people.

Suspension hop is controlled by the skinny pedal. Too much throttle will lead to hopping regardless of whatever shock you have. The rule is "As little as necessary and as much as needed"
