#430365 - 03/09/07 05:45 PM Shakle Bolt question.

I had a post earlier about this but never resolved the issue. I was given a set of SLR shackles im guessing 1 inch. They are about an inch longer to the eyeholes.
I need the bolts and sleeves. I am assuming the sleeves from the sotckers will work???

Considering the bolts from SLR are 25 plus 8 for shipping, is there another avenue i can take to get the bolts?

The shackle pieces are about an inch longer between the boltholes, this will allow me about 1/2 inch of lift?

Thanks for any help
Jay

TSC or ace hardware, around me ACE is the place for hardened bolts.

One inch of extra shackle length, center of eye to center of eye, gives 1/2" of lift.

The OEM shackles are about 3" long, so 4" long (eye to eye...) gives 1/2" of lift, etc.

Cool the stockers i measure at 3 1/4 and the slr ones i got are at 4 1/2 which is about 5/8" of lift.

Odd measurment though on the SLR's there site only shows a 1" and 2" i guess these are the 1"

So this would put the front well tops at 34 1/2 and the backs at 36 3/8

almost a 2" rake??? Will that look funny? Anybody got a pic of a similar setup?
Jay

Are the poly slr shackle bushings worth the extra 10 bucks?

I ordered the bolts, busings and center crush pieces. All told they are $47 to your door.

Hope they only take 15 minutes a side to install as someone stated on one of the threads.

It should take 15min unless your like me and had the bushings fused onto the spring pack. mad Start hitting everything with PB Blaster. Good luck.
