Re-indexing is done to allow you to get a new grip on the t-bar, to continue twisting it.

All it means is taking the bar out of the splined anchors, and re-inserting it at a new position in the anchor.

Its really just like when you turn a wrench as far as you can, and have to take it off the bolt, and put it back on to be able to make a new turn.

In of itself, it does nothing for your X...

If you've adjusted your T-bars as far as you can...but you need to twist the bars a bit more...you can re-index the bars, so you can twist them more...like the above wrench analogy.



So - it lets you keep saggy bars longer.
