Front end-You do not have to remove yours though, Just lift the front end and crank till you have 1/2" between the bumpstops

Re-indexing is done to allow you to get a new grip on the t-bar, to continue twisting it.

All it means is taking the bar out of the splined anchors, and re-inserting it at a new position in the anchor.

Its really just like when you turn a wrench as far as you can, and have to take it off the bolt, and put it back on to be able to make a new turn.

In of itself, it does nothing for your X...

If you've adjusted your T-bars as far as you can...but you need to twist the bars a bit more...you can re-index the bars, so you can twist them more...like the above wrench analogy.

laugh

So - it lets you keep saggy bars longer.

By the way, get an alignment as soon as possible after re-indexing.. Once you crank them and get some lift, you'll see your tires at an all new angle and it can quickly wear down the outer or inner edge (outer, likely).... trust me, been there, suffered that.

If I still need to crank my t-bars, but have only a 1/2" left between bumps and UCA, will reindexing let me get more height before I get to the minimum space between bumps / UCA's (1/2")?

I turned the t-bars until 1/2" bump stop clearance, I'm at normal rake, 1" lower in the front, no shackles on the rear yet.

I would have waited for shackles first. I hope they are there really soon.

Well, re-indexing them will get you higher, but 1/2" is about where you should be.
