I bought my Xterra in July of 1999 in Falls Church, VA from Brown Nissan. I bought it with 5 miles on it, drove it off the showroom floor. I've put 179,500 miles on it and it's still going strong. I used to work as a theater lighting technician in Northern Virgina and I put 67K on it in 2 years, after which I drove it cross country where I've been driving it for the past 5 years and put on the additional 112K+ miles on it driving LA freeways.

I've put different size tires on it, but haven't modified in any other way. Now my stereo doesn't want to eject CD's when it gets too hot, (it's done this since 135K actually). Now it's time to replace it and the stock speakers.

Can anyone tell me what size the speakers are that are in the door for both the tweeter and the main speaker? and the size of the rear speakers? I can't find this info in the manual or online anywhere, and taking the door apart looks like it's going to be a pain.

The 01 models had changes to them so it isn't the same, any other 00 model owners out there who can help me?

Thanks and Cheers.

I dunno.. I replaced my head unit but I've never looked at the speakers.

Try searching in the "stereo, communications, and electrical" forum - and if you can't find anything, maybe repost this question there where people are more likely to see it.

ETA: From a brief search, it looks like the 6-speaker '00 SE has 6x9 speakers in the rear and then a 6.5" round speaker plus a 1" tweeter in each front door... but I only looked at like one thread. I'd do a bit more research if I were you - plus make sure you get the right impedance speakers. I didn't look to see if they're supposed to be 2 or 4 ohm... but I know that info is availabe on here.

Hey Thanks for the detailed info response, on your tip I will do some more research!

Yeah I wanted to post in the noob area before going anywhere else to post. Just a formality I guess.
