--It's so simple, the 2nd gen handle is a PUSH/PULL handle that operates a CABLE to the hatch release, so you have to rig a PUSH access that works when the hatch is UNLOCKED--

--Now the reason I haven't given a how-to sequence, is for the same reason none of the van/suv mfg'ers won't put a release inside -because of KIDS and safety--

--I had purchased that Nissan Emergency Trunk release and read ALL the info--It won't work on a 2gen X, so I just saved the handle, cause it GLOWS IN THE DARK !!
