I have a 2002 X S/c and it was drivinf fine, but when I took it to Tahoe it seems like it was lacking power and it just take a long time to accelerate the way I want to, What Can I do or anybody is experiencing the same problems??

can you add a bit more info, ie: what are the miles on it, did you change anything recently, etc... is it possible that you may have had it loaded up more than usual (from the reading it sounds like you were on a road trip maybe?).

I know on mine, the SC doesnt really kick in til it hits the 3grand mark.

Pull codes, see if the ever present knock sensor is there. If so, bypass it and see if the power comes back. If not, then there's something else there. Possibly a fuel filter, coil issue, distributor issue or a slipping S/C belt.

It has 37000 on it, it's a 2002, I had a complete oil change with synthetic blend before I went to Pyramid lake, 30 miles north of reno.. it was fine, but when I hit the mountain I notice the lost of power, and It was like that all the way to reno, I would press the gas all the way down and it would barely hit 75MPH now that I'm back in the bay it seems a little bit better but Not as I would like it to be.. and I didn't had too much weigh.

And the codes that you pulled were....?

No codes,, I haven't take it to the mechanic or have anything to pull them with. I get no Check engine light.

Ignore whether or not the light is on, the knock sensor code won't turn the light on!

Get the codes pulled. If you're not willing to go to autozone or some other place and get them pulled for free, then there's nothing else to do because you're not willing to do anything yourself.

I don't mean to be a dick, but if you're going to ignore what others know, it's going to be difficult to learn what to do. At that point, just take it to the dealer and have them look at it. They'll be happy to charge you.

I didn't know they do it for free.. I will try that and I'll let you know.
