Hello, Looks great and done right too!
On most off-roading, straight front axles works really great. My dodge ram 86' straight front...I have no problems going off roading.
The nice thing...is you know it can handle better than the stock style. Wanna trade?
Ok please lets know how you feel after a couple of trips??.........Aloha

[/b]There are definitely differences from the Calmini kit. For one, this configuration is designed for Hi-Steer. I believe it also gives additional lift (about 6") which is essential for those people who want to clear 35's without a BL. I still have a few places to trim because there is rubbing at full flex in places. As for a kit, that's up to the guys at Harsh Terrain. I know they have the capability, but I won't speak on their behalf.

The hi-steer thing is a great idea...and the extra height is gravy. If they go for a kit, tell them there would be tremendous interest.

Nice Jeff! How much was the setup? Also, would that shop be willing to do another?

Sweet, glad you finally GOT-R-DONE. Time will tell how it works out. How do you adjust camber on those arms? Doesn’t look like you keep those factory front spring hangers after all You don’t need 6” of lift to run 35’s /wo a BO…with the right BS they fit fine with some sheet metal trimming. I’m running them, with ~4.75 lift up front, 15x8 w/3.75BS wheels and they don’t rub. Looks like partial high steer…x-over on the draglink… that was my pathy and worked well… I really don’t notice any difference compared to the regular Low-Steer on the X because it works equally as well with the same size tires. On the pathy and other leaf setup you need the clearance so X over or full high steer makes more sense. Pro/cons of each but low-steer spreads the loads between ball joints better so some say its tougher.

Doesn’t look like you keep those factory front spring hangers after all .....The arms don't adjust camber, but there is a caster adjustment. The rear spring hangers are intact. The Hi-Steer system is full Hi-steer. The tie rod is fastened underneath the Hi-steer arms, which is not uncommon. I definitely am presenting all of the differences between Calmini and this config as "differences". The observer can come to their own conclusion. I'll let you know how it works out once I get her offroad. I think it'll be great! EDIT: Although my rig is "getting there" it still has a long way to go before it will be built like some of you guys. I definitely need a rear locker and T-case gears and need some more skids underneath. I also need to replace my crushed gas tank as well. This SAS is a huge step in the right direction.
