Doug removed his ABS unit (which actually helps boost pressure) so that is why he really needed to swap masters.
I'm running essentially the same brake setup in my Pathfinder (stock master, stock rear, and Chevy D44 calipers), except for the rear disk brakes mine has. You will find that you will have a little more pedal travel overall, but will have absolutely no problem locking up the front wheels.
