Does anyone have one? If you do how do you have it mounted in you Xterra? Pictures would be great too!

-Rick Yep. Not an actual Powertank, I had it put together cheaper than a Powertank. I did buy the 25 ft. Powertank air hose though, and it is really well made. I have it sitting in the cargo area of my truck standing up in a milk crate with my winch accessory kit and a bunch of other shit. [ 01-18-2002: Message edited by: Philosopher ]

You can buy a fire extinguisher mount for the CO2 tank as well, but like Mike I usually carry mine in a milk crate when wheeling with other recovery equipment.

I just filled my 10 lb. tank and it was $16.70. I adjusted the regulator down to 90 psi and zipped on and off some lugnuts for fun! Sure is convienent!

I built my own CO2 setup and am in the process of building a standup mount for in the cargo area. Already have the wingnut clamp that goes around the tank, so I just need to fab the bracket that will bolt to where one of the tie downs go.

Keep me updated Craig! I'd like to place my Powertank bracket, somewhere, in back and have some hardlines run for lockers when they go in.

FYI: The people that make homemade CO2 setups need to make sure they purchase a regulator that can handle the extreme freezing temps of the CO2.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a Powertank and what does it do? Do you use it to power air lockers, air tools, ect?

Problem is Ian that it has to be upright to work correctly. I mean you could carry it up there I suppose then take it down when you need it? Mosi? what size did you get? I got the 10 lber.

I got the 10 lber too.. I used it last weekend and it's amazing how fast it will air you up! I am not to fond of putting holes in the truck for mounting the bracket, so I am utilizing the 2 tie downs that are closest to the back seat. I ran a ratchet strap through the bracket and it's nice and tight. I only want to carry it with me when I wheel so it works out perfectly.

I think I might do the Mr T method and carry it in a milk crate! Only need it when I am wheeling too!
How did the Sliderz go on the Disco that weekend? Never did here back from you if you wanted my help?

The install went fine but took a while since we drilled 24 holes (total). Installed the gas tank skid and installed the new coil springs all the way around.

That's what I used to pay here close to DC. Now that I've moved out to the sticks, I can get it filled for $10.36 @ the local welding shop.

Ok-What parts and tools are needed to make one of these. Any C02 tank? How about a used diving tank?

Basically that is it! Just make sure you get a "Good" high pressure regulator! Most of the ones I have seen only got oto 60psi. The Powertank one goes to 160psi! You need 70 Psi to run ARB lockers and 90psi to run most airtools.
I am still thinking how I want to plumb this? Front and rear air hookups and ARB front and rear lockers is my ultimate goal.

I just want to be able to air up my tires. I'm no worried about are tools, I don't have any. Same w/ lockers. I figure that any thing is better that the $20 air pump from wallmart.
This seems do-able. For the cost. On the 10lb tank, anyidea how many tires that would be.
