After reading this thred thru a search. I used some left over cabinet cushions. You know the silicon ones that keep the drawers and doors on your kitchen cabinets from slapping wood on wood.

It has worked so far for 3 weeks.

Hey if it lasts until I open the hood again I can put in new ones. They are cheap and well it is a small inconvenience, considering I have had absolutely no issues with my 06'.

I will post an update of what it looks like when I open the hood again.
