When I have the air flow control on the feet while in heat mode, I still have air coming out of the center and side ventililators and defroster outlets. Is this normal on the 05? I cant really tell a difference between the floor outlet selector and the floor/defroster selector. Is anyone else having this happen?

KEVMAN, I noticed this exact thing this morning, I had to do a double take just to make sure it was on the setting I Thought it was. I could not tell a difference between the 2 settings. Maybe someone else can enlighten us.

Guys, I checked mine at lunch and it definately works as expected on mine. It does not come out the top vents when switched to the bottom setting only. The switch takes about 2 seconds. I tried it on both a cool setting and a hot setting. If you want me to check anything else, let me know.

I guess I will have to have it checked out. X-JUNKIE, If you find out anything before I do let me know. I will probably have it in next week.

I checked this on mine yesterday. Everything seems to work normally. There is a noticeable "sucking" of air, directing it to the bottom vents, when I switch to the feet position. It seems that there is still a little bit that comes out of the defrost vents too, but not much, and none comes out of the head vents.

According to the manual there will be a little coming out of the defrost vents in the floor mode, but i dont think its supposed to be coming out everywhere in the floor mode.

Got it back last night and the technician says this is normal and gave me a copy of a page out of their manual and there should be 95% air coming out in the face mode, 60% in the face foot mode, 20% in the foot mode, 15% in the defrost foot mode and 7% in the defrost mode, and there should be airflow at the driver and passenger side demisters at all times. The owners manual does not say the same as the copy I got from him. I dont know why Nissan does this but my personal Ford and my work Chevy dont.

Well I'll experiment again, but I'm fairly sure that when mine is in foot mode there is no air coming our of the face vents, and a little coming out of the defrost vents.

Ok, did a little experimenting when I got off work. In foot mode, there is absolutely NO air coming out of the middle face vents. There is a little air coming out of the side/defrost face vents, and also out of the top/defrost vents.
