I can get a real good deal on a 2006 model "S"
4X4 with the utility package.
I was leaning more toward the Offroad model, but
I dont know that I really need it.
What is your opinion of the "S" model ?
The color is Night Armor.

If you ever think your going to wheel it where there is a good chance of 3 wheel action get the offroad. If not the s is more than fine.

you had a rubicon before? so you know what a locker is and the benefits...that's the real decision. there isn't an aftermarket locker (yet)....so you have to decide whether a rear locker is worth it to you.

nothing else is really that important between the two trims.

for me, it was worth the wait to find one.

If you're trading a Rubi, you'd better get the OR. While you're at it make sure you get some decent tires. Most stealerships will give you a credit toward some all-terrains instead of the garbage OEMs.

I'd hold out for the OR model - but if it's a great deal and you don't care about the locker, then that's too.

Night Armor is a nice, though kinda nondescript color... kind of a dark metallic gray.

Well, I test drove a Toyota FJ Cruiser today and
that is probably what I am going to get.
They are both nice rides, but I like the FJC better.

Before you do , I would check out this months Four Wheeler and read their assesment of the FJ.

Four real doors are better than two + 2x1/2 doors and the blind spots seem to be a common complaint especially when offroading. I drove one and thought it looked pretty cool.

Is the FJ going to be more $, and if so what made it worth it to you ?
