Thought I would contribute to this month old thread. "When I was young and dumb," I clocked in 125mph on a Honda Civic. It was out in the country around noon and bright sunny day. Could see nothing but horizon everywhere and a straight road for few miles. Took my chances and stepped on the gas. At 125mph, the Civic felt like it was about to take off. It was a good 10-12 second feeling.
