i went backpacking over the weekend and stayed in a shelter where i had a miniature tea candle lamp type thing that i tied to the shelter to get a little light in there. well i had my back turned to it and obviously some candle wax......well not "some" but ALOT of wax got on the back of the jacket. any ways to get it out? thanks

I think if it's not too much wax, you can put a paper towl over it and then apply a hot iron to the paper towl.

Good luck

I heard to put it in the freezer so the wax becomes brittle and is easier to chip off. At least that can get the bulk of it off, the last bit is always the killer though.

x2

I spilled yankee candle on my carpet this weekend and used an ice cube to remove it.

I've done this a lot of times (candles, carpet, other fabrics). Place a brown paper grocery bag (just one layer of paper) over the stained area and iron it with your iron set to the highest setting. The paper will pick up the wax instantly and become see-thru, as if it were saturated with grease.

Repeat.

Each time you do it, the wax stain in the paper gets a bit smaller. When the paper is clean... you're done.

ONE trucky? Or FIVE truckies??! laugh

Incidentally, wax-laden grocery paper is AWESOME for starting charcoal... slow burn, ya know.

That's when you use an iron without the paper.

You can only give someone a truck rating one time. Typically, one truck means you think that person is a troll or an a-hole. 5 trucks means they were helpful, etc. A person's truck rating is an average of all of the ratings they've received; not a collection of total trucks.

So... "Thanks."

I'll give you a truck too!

All she's gotta do is ask me to leave the candles at home.
