We have a local venue opening here outside Atlanta soon. The name is a mouthful - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre At Encore Park. The Eagles will be one of the first bands to appear there, on May 14. There are two ticket options: Lawn tickets @ $65 each, or anywhere else for...are you ready for this? $185 each plus $19.20 in "convenience fees".
Seating Chart So I was pretty shocked by those ticket prices and thought they'd be lucky to sell out the show. I mean, over two hundred bucks after fees to see a concert? No f***ing way, right?
Ha! Soon after the first show went on sale, they added another one. And then another one. And today, ANOTHER ONE. The Eagles are now playing this place May 14, 16, 17, and 20. Those are so far the only U.S. dates scheduled on their tour.
Am I just behind the times, still living back in the days when I saw the then-named John Cougar open for Heart in 1978 for like $20? Or are those Eagles ticket prices as ridiculous as they seem?
How much would you pay, and to see who?
