Just extended to a life membership with the NRA. This next term promises to be rough on gun owners regardless of who gets elected.
This is going to be qute the pool of Dems in the primary. Obama scares me, and Hillary terrifies me, as do most radical liberals.
This country is so divided, that it's going to be difficult for anyone to get elected this time around, and it'll be a close race any way you look at it.
Am thinking a 3rd party candidate is making more and more sense, and one could likely do very well in 2008.
I disagree on NYMM's assessment of a moderate.
A moderate steps out of party lines on key issues.
Example: Rudy Guliani is a moderate - he's a republican, but beleves in abortion rights, gay rights, blah blah blah. That's a stand. He's a gun control fanatic, which is one reason I wouldn't vote for him, but you get the idea. I don't think you have to be a radical left or right winger to take a stand on things.
I do, however, think Hillary and Obama are both radical liberals - especially Hillary, and having her as president would have grave long term consequences on our liberties.
