I wonder how many chicks are going to vote for her just because she's technically a woman.

I really hope the Dems are smoking some funky shiat in Denver for the convention...and Billary makes in through the primaries. It'll make it so much fun come election day laugh

I just hope one side or the other puts a relative moderate through the primaries. I don't expect it to happen, but it would be nice.

We'll probably end up stuck with a couple of fuck-wads again. [ThumbsDown]

<~~~~ Chick that is most definitely NOT going to vote for Hillary. I wish people weren't stupid enough to vote for someone purely because of their gender, race, heritage, etc. Our votes are too important for us to waste them. In an ideal, impossible world, we'd all read about and research the candidates ourselves instead of just listening to our friends, enemies, and the media and make the choice that's best for us. Granted, I don't do this enough... but I do read something about every person I vote for so I at least feel semi-informed.

I'm not counting chicks like you, Mindie wink I was specifically talking about the MTV "rock the vote" generation, which tends to vote based on which candidate dresses better. It's sad to say, but I know quite a few women (and a few dudes) my age that vote based on TV commercials (which always distort the truth).

Who is worse though, her or Obama? Egads!! That is what the primary is going to come down to. If that is the best Democats have to offer.....but it doesn't matter who they put up. Stupid Americans will vote for anyone who is "not Bush" or a Republican. Republicans are going to be screwed either way; it doesn't matter who they nominate.

Come on....

Like anyone is surprised she announced a run for the presidency. The only reason she had to announce early is because of Obama.

She's been running for the presidency since 1992. She didn't run for a Senate seat because she cares about the people of New York... or even being in the Senate at all.

Will women vote for her? Sure. A lot of women will vote for her. There are enough women out there who are idiots and who know very liitle about her or politics in general that will vote for her.

She still has to make it through the primaries. A lot of Dems have announced already and there will be more entering the race.

What is a moderate? Why does anyone want a moderate?

A "moderate" is a media word.

You don't want moderates. Moderates stand for nothing. They have no core values. No principles they are willing to fight for. Moderates are phonies. They could go either way on almost any issue.

You want people with core values. People with actual ideas and plans. You want people to let the voters know where they stand.

A "moderate" is nothing more than an actor who tries to everything to everyone.

...which is exactly why this LIBERAL will NEVER vote for Hillary. She'd accomplish about as much as GWB (just piss a bunch of people off with no real results). I'm still waiting for a candidate worth voting for.

I'm still waiting for a candidate too.

Hillary stands for exactly this....

.... more government control...more government control...more government control...more government control...more government control...more taxes to support more government control...more taxes to support more government control...more taxes to support more government control...more taxes to support more government control...more taxes to support more government control...socialism...socialism...socialism...socialism...socialism...

People need to realize that more government equals less liberty.

I am sad for the future of this country because people are being indoctrinated to think that more government is somehow a good thing, when it is the worst thing possible.

Just extended to a life membership with the NRA. This next term promises to be rough on gun owners regardless of who gets elected.

This is going to be qute the pool of Dems in the primary. Obama scares me, and Hillary terrifies me, as do most radical liberals.

This country is so divided, that it's going to be difficult for anyone to get elected this time around, and it'll be a close race any way you look at it.

Am thinking a 3rd party candidate is making more and more sense, and one could likely do very well in 2008.

I disagree on NYMM's assessment of a moderate.

A moderate steps out of party lines on key issues.

Example: Rudy Guliani is a moderate - he's a republican, but beleves in abortion rights, gay rights, blah blah blah. That's a stand. He's a gun control fanatic, which is one reason I wouldn't vote for him, but you get the idea. I don't think you have to be a radical left or right winger to take a stand on things.

I do, however, think Hillary and Obama are both radical liberals - especially Hillary, and having her as president would have grave long term consequences on our liberties.

The country has always been divided along political lines. The only difference is that today it gets more attention because there is more information available to the public across more mediums.

Third parties sound good in conversation, but in practice and reality they do nothing but help one of the other two parties into office.

Rudy is not a moderate. That is a media label.

Rudy is a liberal.

Without a doubt it would have grave consequences.

Just look at the Democrats currently in control of Congress. They are already proving their contempt for the US Constitution. Their latest scheme is a power grab to give delegates from US territories the full congressional voting rights of US Representatives from states.

If you want a man who will make a great president...

Send this man a letter and urge him to run.

Fred Thompson for President.

He's a good man. His values and principles are in the right place. He exudes confidence.

He would be the right man at the right time in the right place.
