Well, it's kind of been a banner week for media bias. But then again, it gets worse with every passing week anyway.

Media bias is also often more about what is not said and reported.

Let's take a look at a couple of stories that would have been VERY explosive had the political tables been turned......

Last Friday an aide of left wing Democrat Senator Maria Cantwell was arrested by the FBI for soliciting sex over the internet with a teenage boy. Ordinarily, that should have been BIG NEWS. Especially since this senate staffer specifically stated he wanted to bang this teenage boy in his message. It wasn't. The news was suppressed.

Not one single media outlet reported on the arrest. The first news of the arrest came from the website The Smoking Gun .

After The Smoking Gun posted the arrest and criminal complaint on it's website, the media waited until almost 5 PM on Monday to make a mention of the arrest. The first was an AP story .

This is sick stuff. What is even more disgusting is that since this involved a Democrat, the story was almost entirely ignored and actually supressed until it had to reluctantly be reported.

A fairly famous radical left wing radio talk show host based in San Francisco was indicted by the feds yesterday for internet child pornography.

This guy regularly appears on cable TV talk shows. He's really over the top and pretty radical and hard core.

Now all of a sudden comes his "Pete Townsend" defense.

His lawyer claims he was researching internet porn for a book he was writing. Yeah sure. If he really was doing research for a book, he would have approached law enforcement authorities first. Instead he decided doing research from the comfort of his own home in his underwear was probably a good venue to do internet child porn research.

I sure hope he has a copy of the manuscript for the "so-called" book he was working on.

This story is being all but ignored by most of the mainstream media.

One of the worst of all networks, NBC, is refusing to run ads by a group that has made TV commercials to thank our troops.

It's hard to imagine an American TV network refusing to run these commercials and make some money at the same time, but that is what NBC is doing. They refuse to run ads thanking U.S. soldiers.

NBC is pure scum.

NBC decides to not run an ad because they don't like the politics the makers of the ad are pushing.
It has nothing to do with the content of the ad. Who doesn't want the troops to come home safe?

Left wing media, that's who. There's no sensationalism in a boring story like that.

It's the whole country's fault for watching and reading this tripe. I'd honestly like to see corporate TV ad sponsors pull ads, or at least pressure the networks to be more objective in their reporting. The same goes for Newspaper and magazine advertisers, etc.

Moby, are you saying that's not true? What do you see more news stories on - the body count in Iraq, or the fact that new schools are opening up, people are starting to feel safer, etc?

I'm not even saying most liberals share the views and the bias presented by the media. Most people, left or right, are moderately that way. The media, on the other hand, wants to report only the most sensationalist stories because that's what sells.

Much of the media only wants to report what will help the Democrat Party.

It seems the lawyer at NBC who nixed the ads thanking our troops is a big Democrat and Democrat Party donor....
