I currently pay about $300 a month in Social Security and Medicaid taxes. I resent that. I could be putting that money into a retirement fund that will generate interest, rather than something that generates negative interest. Realize that if I put money into a market account, any money left when I bite it can be given to my survivors. Not so much with Social Security. Now, if these programs worked like that, then I'd be less hostile about it - it would be an account for my money. Instead, it is taken from me and dispersed to other people, on the basis that future generations will pay for me. How backward is that? Can I buy my next car like that? "Don't worry, my grandchildren will pay you for this car."
I agree with you on the expense of rebuilding Iraq. We give these fuckers way too much, and they want more. Sounds like the welfare crowd at home. Of course here, I have a bit more influence. I can tell them "no". They want a few gallons of diesel? Find me the damn rocketeers. You want a well in your village so you don't have to drink from the polluted canal? Find me the assholes that are transporting IEDs. I make people work to get the benefits - and it's not easy work either. It might get them killed, but at least I know they really want those benefits. How many blood sucking welfare people are willing to put their lives on the line, as well as their family, to receive those benefits?

The beginning of the end for the Ron Paul Revolution....

Many have always wondered why Ron Paul attracts such a "diverse" following which includes neo-nazi's, KKK types, anti-semites, conspiracy nutjobs of all stripes including the 9-11 truther crowd, extreme anti-war zealots, etc.

Maybe those questions can now be answered.

The New Republic has been wondering why so many fringe groups are attracted to Ron Paul and thinks they have an answer. They have gone back and checked many of his past writings and a newsletter he used to publish. Their conclusions are not pretty for a guy running for president.

If Paul was a major candidate, his campaign would be completely dead because of these allegations.

Keep in mind it is TNR, but we will see if any of this information gains legs. They will also be publishing the transcripts of Paul's papers.

Pauls behavior is too erratic. He sounds good 1 second then lets his staff (or himself) make odd choices.

From all accounts he has one of the most consistent voting records in politics so I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that he is "erratic" but I agree that the "truthers" etc. aren't helping his cause. I like a lot of what the man says. I like a lot of what Obama says, and several others... Long as it's not Clinton or Guilani.. I can't stand those two. I cringe thinking about either as president.

I think every politician has their "loony" groups. I don't think it's just Paul, hell the NRA is rife with nutjobs and they are one of the biggest special interest groups out there...

I didn't even know about the racist allegations until I read your post. I then did a quick Google search and those are just some links that came up. I have no clue about Alex Jones or the Prison Planet site. I figured them no worse than TNR though.

However it is true that the Times retracted their story about Paul. So some of the info is legit.

I posted a long time ago some of Ron Paul's old writings and said he was racist and hated blacks and Jews.

The fact that he refuses to return money from neo-Nazi's should tell you something about the guy.

Hillary Clinton wins New Hampshire for the Democrats....



This has to make you wonder about the ethics and the overall agenda of most of these people in the media.

With only one state caucus occurring for the Democrats last Thursday, almost every major media outlet dropped Hillary Clinton like a hot potatoe. They declared her campaign dead. They practically proclaimed Obama as the second coming of the messiah. WTF?

It didn't matter that the Democrats had 49 other states ahead of them. The media was picking their winner.

I'm no fan of Hillary, but the media is being a complete disgrace. Even to their favored political party.

And another thing..... What about all those so-called polls the media was touting that said Obama was so far ahead in New Hampshire? What was that all about? The polls couldn't have been more wrong. At least on the Democrat side of things.

Some of these media scum and the pollsters have some explaining to do.
