sometimes I try and do a ping on the Unix system I have access to.. this is what it returned.
ICMP Host Unreachable from gateway **.**.***.** for icmp from unix2 (***.***.**.*) to c-67-175-153-182.hsd1.il.comcast.net (67.175.153.182)
So it is a comcast.net account.. You could prob contact Comcast and show then whatever proof you have and see if they can help you at all..
ETA using a few searches on Google I was able to trace it down to Springfield IL. So it looks likes you close...

They wont divulge that info unless you involve the police, and even then, if you're lucky.
Shame, I hate theives.

hi,
Make sure you document well the date/time the card was wrongfully used and amounts. Since most ISP use DHCP, the date/time is really important because the IP that guy has today may not be the one he has tomorrow.

67.175.153.182 Having been a victim of Identify Theft, I'd advise you to cancel ALL of your cards ASAP. One time a dude stole my wallet and within a few hours he'd created a fake driver's license with his picture and my name, and then opened a cell phone account in "my" name. These assholes can do a lot of damage with just a tiny bit of information.

67.175.153.182 An ISP wont give you this information due to privacy issues. They only way they will give it up is with a subpoena. You will need to file a report with the police or a district attorney and they can get a subpoena and prosecute the individual.

And being a police officer I was expecting them to need a court order was just trying to contact them to see what I needed to do with them. They were dicks.

Sorry for jumping so late in this thread, haven't time to check the board lately.
Ask them how long they keep those record. Sometimes it can be only a few days, up to 2 years if your lucky. So check if they still have those records. And no matter how long they say they will keep the records, ask them to freeze them until proper paperwork comes in. Most of the ISP I deal with will keep the record for a month if I ask them. Although it only takes me an afternoon to writes a warrant and get it sworn.
You did advise your bank of the fraudulent use ? Usually bank will help you more than police can. And they will cancel any cards that might have been cloned.
Also, keep a watchfull eye on your credit report for the next few weeks. Well FOREVER actually, ALL OF YOU !.
As for IP tracing, I usually use dnsstuff.com

If you are on a Windows system, using tracert usually does the trick, too.

Having worked in the Domain industry for a few years, a real good tool for tracing an IP down to the ISP level and the area of the country the user is in is: http://www.dnsstuff.com/ Lots of different tools on there. The IPWHOIS Lookup will tell you who owns the IP i.e. Who to call with your Court Order. The IP Information lookup will tell you where in the country it happened.

As for IP tracing, I usually use dnsstuff.com Yeah I already advised the bank. I was able to contact the company that the charge was made on and it was credited. The card was cancelled and another was issued so I am out nothing really and it just isn't worth going through the hassle to go to court etc. And I have the credit watch gold. I watch it like a hawk.

ARIN WHOIS might be able to help some. May not give you any info you don't already have though.
