WOW!!! I never knew there were this may CAD people here!! I've been using AutoCAD for around 17 years. I actually started my CAD experience on Claris CAD on the MAC, but switched to AutoCAD about 15 years ago. I work in a Structural Engineers office. Hell, with the professionals we have here, we could design our own buildings from start to finish with no problems!!

I personally love AutoCAD, but I don't use the 3D feature of it AT ALL!!! Yet, I do still find limitatations to what it is capable of in 2D. Structures don't need to see what the 3D looks like. We just need to make sure it won't fall down! I like AutoCAD alot, but alot of the CAD techs and architecs that we use have no idea how to back-check their work!!! It's so frustrating trying to build a structure off of incorrect architectural drawings becuase someone was too lazy to check their work. In my opinion, nothing will EVER beat drawing everything by hand. THAT is an artform!
