Actually, I will have to differ with you on the "hit the gas and jump 15psi", it would make a huge difference. Ever seen a dyno sheet on an MKIV Supra? no power until 4k (225hp) then by 4500-5000 they jump to 500+whp. That's huge and because of that they have launch problems and clutch problems, imagine that while towing... T
orque advantage to a turbo over a blower? I wouldn't put my money on that one.
As far as twin turbos... that's a stretch on the X as you would have to find a good way to dissipate the heat to avoid detonation. Far worse a problem with a turbo than with a charger.
7psi is close to what the charger puts out on the Xterra - it doesn't 'rock you', in fact, in my mind, a VG33E must be absolutely gutless because i find that my X isn't exactly quick and sure isn't a badass in the torque department.
