tuned plastic tube is way better than aluminum shiny straight crap...but come on..do you really expect a real kick in the nuts with some bolt ons? It will add to the mpg...as long as you go with a tuned intake not one of the bandwagon manufacturers, like AEM...

and i'm not putting down AEM..they are some of the top aftermarket ECU manufactures but they are NOT the brightest intake fabricators..(no pun intended).
