No torque loss that I have noticed, and the system is pretty quiet. I did 3" because it was the closest diameter to the wideest point in the factory system. Running 33" tires a cold air intake and this system, I've been pulling away from stock exhausted, stock tired, K&N intaked X's and chattering back and forth on the radio we couldn't determine exactly what it was...but if anything, running 33's mine should run like a dog. The main reason I re-did the system was to tuck it up as far as possible

Mine was for 3" pipe at the Y all the way out which is why mine was so pricey (something about that diameter really jacks up the price of a system...).
