I'm looking for a replacement muffler for a 2000 V-6 4x4 Xterra that is quiet. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I replaced my system in my 2002 with a Gibson cat-back system. I have had in for about a year and I am pleased with the proformance and the sound is quiet in the X.

If you're looking for quiet, then replace it with the stock system (probably expensive at the dealer) or just go to a muffler shop and see what they recommend.

I have a Gibson on my 01 and even with a Volant intake it is quiet until over 2500 RPM and even then it's mostly the intake you hear.

i had the oem cut out and a magnaflow installed in it's place.

it's a *little* louder than stock...but doesn't drone and isn't obnoxious.

the guy who installed it remarked 'huh, it doesn't make much noise....what's the point?'.
