any aftermarket "intake, filter charger,etc." provides more power through less restriction. The biggest problem being the filter. I personally would only trust a few high-end japanese filters like HKS/Greddy and K&N. The filters that you get with inexpensive kits are merely sand and rock strainers. Just good enough to call it a filter. Heat and vibrations usually get the best of the cheap filters within a few months. The glue that holds the paper element separates from the plastic and metal it is bonded to, causing a filter bypass. On the hot dusty trail, this will cause excessive wear on your engine with the quickness. At my previous job, I managed a landscaping company. We had a airfilter installed incorrectly(had a small gap near the seal). The tractor was serviced in the spring and by mid summer the engine had cracked and worn piston rings. Enough preaching here, buy a good filter or leave it stock. No weapon R, unless ur a mall rider.
